>_ IT Support Specialist

I fix what's broken — from the circuit board to the network edge. Three years running my own IT services business, fifty students trained to Level 2 support, and seven years of steady study in networking, Linux and security.

The person behind the toolkit

I've owned and run an independent IT services and training business, which means I've been the technician, the trainer, the support desk and the one answering to the customer — often on the same day.

My hands-on strength is hardware: tracing faults down to individual components on a circuit board, rebuilding machines, deploying Windows cleanly and getting lost data back when it matters. Around that sits seven years of continuous study in networking, Linux, cybersecurity, IT asset management and AI.

I work in a disciplined way — reproduce the fault, measure, isolate, fix, verify, document — and I like leaving people more capable than I found them.

A small-office network, done properly

The kind of network I build and support: segmented VLANs, a single hardened edge, central identity and logging, and backups that actually restore. Hover any device. Traffic is live.

How one request travels the wire

Keep scrolling. A single web request is wrapped layer by layer — application data, then TCP, then IP, then an Ethernet frame — until it leaves the card as raw bits.

Security in layers, not in hope

No single control stops everything. Each ring below catches what the one outside it misses — and when something still gets through, there's a plan for that too.

01 Prepare

Asset inventory, backups tested, contacts and runbooks ready before anything goes wrong.

Least privilege

Standard accounts by default, admin rights only where the job needs them.

02

Patch & harden

Windows updates, driver hygiene, unused services and ports switched off.

03

3-2-1 backups

Three copies, two media, one offline — and restores tested, not assumed.

04

Digital footprint

Know what a person or business exposes publicly before someone else maps it.

  1. 01

    Reproduce

See the fault happen. Note symptoms, beep codes, what changed.

  2. 02

    Measure

Check power rails, continuity and resistance against known-good values.

  3. 03

    Isolate

Narrow it to one component — a shorted cap, a failed MOSFET, a bad port.

  4. 04

    Repair

Replace or rework the part, or swap and upgrade the module.

  5. 05

    Verify & hand over

Stress test, restore data and software, explain what failed and why.
